THE RESTAURANT
Established in 2019, Masaka replicates an authentic downtown izakaya vibe with its cozy interior and traditional seating alongside sticky tables and metal stools. Everything on the menu is plant-based, including Korean-inspired karaage, dumplings, mapo tofu, noodles, and rotating sides. Patrons order via QR code and pay at the register.
DINING & RECOMMENDATIONS
A must-try item is the soy-meat karaage—juicy, flavorful, and available with various sauces such as sesame or Sichuan spicy. The gyoza is another hit, featuring crispy wrappers and savory vegetable-soy fillings. Lunch set meals, which include rice, soup, and pickles, are especially good value (~¥1,200 or less). Menu items are popular and portions are satisfying—go with friends to share and sample a range of dishes.
