OVERVIEW
SOJO Esperanto-Vegana Kafejo is a cozy, culturally rich vegan café tucked near Waseda University, just a short walk from Waseda Station. Since opening in April 2017, it has enchanted guests with its fusion of Esperanto flair and compassionate cuisine. The café’s modest size — seating around 8–14 people — and decorative touches (Esperanto texts, plant-based paraphernalia) foster a uniquely welcoming, homey atmosphere.
All menu items are entirely plant-based and crafted with care by the owner-chef, who is fluent in Esperanto. The café embodies two green philosophies—Esperanto and veganism—a pairing that emphasizes equality, harmony, and inclusivity.
